Looks really nice Gerry. I really need to get my finger out and finish mine too.

Too many projects, not enough time  :(  (or money!)

thanks for compliments lads.

andy,  yea, i've seen that one, very nice work.  that's one of fred's too, at 1/3 scale.  bigger model, easier to add more scale detail (check out the framework through the canopy).

i've also been following the all tube version by olli on retroplane. amazing build altogether, even down to scale control runs for the 'ruddevators' or v-tail, which ever you want to call them!!

there really are some good builders out there, lots to learn from them.

Hey Gerry,

Very good job on the Ka3
Original colour scheme, like the blue and yellow!

I hope you like now, and that you will have lots of flying with it  :D

I think the standard of contributions of this forum is definitely going down hill :!:

Yesterday Andy was trying to fly a set of banisters, and now Gerry’s talking about flying cows!!!

I'm not sure I should belong to this forum any more. :?:

(In fact, I wouldn’t want to belong to any forum that would have me as a member! )

ladies and gentlemen of the gliding fraternity, please give a warm welcome to the 'new kid on the block' (the glider, that is, kieran has been around for years!!).

kieran wallace with his newly completed ka-3 from a certain mr. marie's kit.

model turned out very nice in the evening light on tountinna, facing east.  unfortunately, not enough wind for a test flight, but hopefully next saturday we'll see it fly.

we were being eaten by midges, hence the expression!!!

doesn't that grin say it all!!!

:?:  That's not a Ka3, it's a Tutor!   :P

Congratulations to Kieran for this nice build!    Really looks good!
And if it flies half as good as yours, I think we will have a happy camper!

Keep us updated on the first flight  :D

Closed Loop or Pushrod?
« Reply #44 on: August 03, 2012, 14:07:50 PM »
Gerry,
Did you use pushrods, snakes or closed loop to operate the tail surfaces on the V tail?

Anybody know what the real thing used?
