Yes, I know the feeling Fred. I haven’t flown a glider for 2 months! ….2 MONTHS!!

Big L is still snow covered, I don’t think my little car would get up the wiggly road. :(
(Thank god for indoor flying……..Not quite the same but at least I can keep my “fingers in”.) (If you’ll pardon the expression! )

Fingers in eh ?
Well, we'll see, Sunday looks like SW winds, will try to get to Kilakee with the ASW15.
The worse part is that it is also too cold to work in the garage !  :!:

Or I need to do this indoor plane I have ! But no indoor venues around here

I know the feeling. Its been about two mouths since I "tried" to fly the K8. She's all repaired, but all this waiting to fly it again is killing me.

Your welcome to join us flying indoor at Kiltealy Fred. (And anyone else.) :D  On Sundays we normally fly from around 08.30 till about 11.00.

Sometimes, if the hall isn’t being used for sports, we just keep flying till we get hungry, and then go home. (I’ve been there till 13.00 before now :D )

The down side is that it’s a long way from Dublin to Kiltealy. :(  But on the plus side at least you know you will get some flying in. :D

If the snow has melted off the access road to Big L. you might also get some gliding  in the afternoon…….bonus! :D  :D

Tensor 4D er?,….. So you’re a biplane man like myself…….Good on ya’ Fred!

Good idea. 3 - 4D indoor flying (or on my case, Crashing) in the morning followed by,……as you put it,.  “Real” flying in the afternoon.

Sounds great,…….all we need now is the weather and a 50K wind (Some things never change!)

Yes - no flying for ages.  I did manage to get to Killakee on St Stephen's Day.  Boy was it cold - lasted about 15 minutes in very bumpy air and then beat a hasty retreat.  Not much fun. Nothing since then.  Started a building project instead - a 1/5 scale ASW 20 in wood - after much fret sawing, proud owner now of half a planked fuselage!  About to flip it over and build on other half. Slow work as usual.

Hi Peter, long time no see !!
Asw20, certainly my favorite modern glider along with the DG1000 !!
Will watch that with interrest (photos??  :P )
I can't remember, you flew the Pilatus ?  :?:

Keith, yep, why having only 1 set of wings when you can have 2 !  :D  The tensor have a strange look anyway, but we'll se after a few crashes, I'm tempted to re-use all the electronic into a free flight conversion instead (something like a piper cub maybe...  :?: )

John, we will not blend very well in Florida, we are not 365 years old ! For Keith, sound like home !  :P  :P

Fingers crossed for Kilakee tomorrow, but sound like the wind is a bit too Southerly  :!:
