Anybody thinking about flying Sunday or Monday this Paddys Weekend?
Looks like Northerly might be cold but possibly good for Bray head.

Looks like we are heading for Mt Leinster on monday !
Have the maiden flight to do for the big Ka3 and Backstrom...
We've plan to get there early to enjoy the day as much as possible...

It seems a good ideia has i dont know the area. And Monday seems sunny as per windfinder forecast. I might go.
How much it takes to get there from Dublin center? Around 2H or more?

Yep, sounds good to me. Did maiden flight with a new 2M Fling on Friday at Donabate strand, will give it its second maiden flight on Mt Leinster.
Anybody like to share a lift, could take my caddy van and share the diesel cost between 2 or 3. Should be enough room for all kits and radio gear.
How early is early?
cheers

I might try and get out tomorrow - but the wind looks easterly so not sure about Mt Leinster - where were you planning to fly?

Hi there,
sorry, was off all day !
Is there a strong wind forecast for tomorrow ? I have a 30km/h forecast, turning North later on...
Might be NE in the afternoon...

If the car park slope is NE, that mean the ridge you see from the car park, the one we usually fly West, is East. Very deep slope !
And the wind is going to turn NE anyway at some stage, might even be NE in the morning for us to use the NE slope at the car park... :?:
Anyway, I'll go for 10-11 am to enjoy most of the day. Might be earlier even !

Weather from Met eireann shows easterly tomorrow 22 (not sure if knots or km/h), dont know if this is good for flying at Mt Leinster. Long way to go if location isn't best. Is the wind too strong for flying anyway?
