Forecast looks NW, so it'll either be the West slope which you'll pass on the way up from Bunclody or just off the carpark at the nine stones . Probably be people up there from 10 - 1030

Hi everyone,

just to say we had a great weekend, the weather on Sat was low cloud sitting on the hill so only Richard from Cork was able to fly his Ahi within 20 yards of where he stood. Later in the day Peter attempted to fly with a bit of a mishap later in the day. We all headed down for soup and sambos in Bunclody only to get a message that the cloud had lifted. We all raced back up for the evening to fly. 7 of us had dinner that night with a few drinks and turned in for the night.

Sunday brought a drop in temperatures but amazing skies and a stiff cold Northerly wind. A great days flying had by all. Richard from Roundwood appeared with a Vulcan bomber converted from EDT to PSS and impressed all.

Well that was the last official event for the  year. Looking forward to another good year in 2026.

Ralph

I am sure that the lads will post up some pics later

Hear, hear!

Thanks all for coming form all over the Island for what turned out to be a great weekend! Once again, Mt Leinster delivered!
Low clouds on Saturday ( I fly too in them! 😘) then all opened up, not a drop of rain in sight!
Sunday, some good sun and epic conditions where anything would fly (or crash like my Oxid! Beautiful crash I must say, and fuse is fixed already, wing tomorrow, so another 10 minutes of work. Very very lucky!) and of course, will always remember the beautiful sight of Richard’s Vulcan!
What a presence in the sky. Beautiful moment!

And of course all the usual suspects, from ASW15 for the biggest, to my JP 15/36 for the smallest and everything you could fit in between!

Oh, and an old car rallye!

Great weekend!!
