Looking at next weekends forecast, the weather looks dry and light winds, so far. A lot can happen between now and then but so far it looks like thermal and lightweight models. Maybe even a few electrics.
I am booked in for the weekend. Who else is coming?

Just to add our twopence to Freds pictures. A good bunch of people from all over the country showed up. 4 traveled from Cork with electric gliders and along with Fred took to the air in a quiet buoyant conditions. Again thanks to LMFC for hosting a great event.

Hi just a small bit of news here, I got to maiden my new ASW 15 last night. It has a FES unit which allows me to launch from a flat field with out a towplane.
Thrilled to bits with it. Here are a few pictures.

The model was built in France by a Mr Jean Claude Malandain

Hey Filipe,

good to hear from you, thanks for the info. I have covered a few models with carbon LE and TE and yeah, timing is important. Not too much heat on the spar and preferably no heat.

Fred sells a model called a Quark on Island models and might be worth a look, Great flyer and made in Ireland.

Just a few comments about the CMAC aerotow this weekend, I would like to thank all the pilots who participated, it was great as we had a new tow pilot this weekend, Fred Marie, I had 3 tows with him and it was great. I would also like to thank CMAC for hosting this event not once but twice this year. Maybe next year we can go for a hatrick.

Next meeting in Sept, Hope to see you all soon,
