Four of us managed the epic climb up Craigy Hill today to fly slope for an enjoyable couple of hours. All a bit rusty, and it showed in some of he flying and landing!

Well done lads,  Hope you’re getting some practice in for the PSS next month.

Glad you had some wind to play with. I was up on Big L today and spent two hours scratching around for lift before swearing and going home.

How did you get on down south Ralph?

Lift wasn't great and it came and went a bit throught the afternoon, but still an enjoyable afternoon.  :D

Problem we had was the hill is quite a strenuous climb which put a lot of our members off. And early in the week the wind was off it quite a bit, so Andrew didn't travel. On the day, it was almost head on :?

Yea’, it’s sods law isn’t it Bill. :(
Similar situation here. Before I left home today I checked the Mt. Lienster weather webcam and it showed winds at 19Km/h. The wind history graph showed that it had been like that for some hours. When I got to the slope the speed dropped to less than 10km/h. Stayed around that speed all the time I was there, but when I got home I saw that it had picked up just after I’d left the slope.   Grrrrr.

May be I should have gone to church this morning before setting off to the mountain!

(Nice pictures BTW Bill)

Hi Bill

Good days flying, I have the tail plane fixed  Yes, I hit a rock when landing the phase 6, and it was such a good landing too, right  beside me with no flaps :!:

Oh John, you’ve got a Phase 6 with a full house wing?

Show us a picie,……..I like to compare. 8)

That’s the beauty of crunchies (wooden models,) they’re so easy to repair!

Sorry Keith, it's standard wing.
John just meant he landed it without the model having flaps. It was a lovely landing until we heard the crunching sound
