And there you have it, everything that has happened over the last six years! Hopefully the paint will start to flow early this year on both the P-47 and the Ka3!

I'll be sure to update this thread when something happens.   :D

Getting boring at this stage!...
As usual, impressive work, clean and well executed!

When I see that, I get weak, and want to fly warbirds again!

Undercarriage getting ready.

This one was looking to test fly something, he might be in for more than he bargained for!  :)

Keep on adding the details.

First coat of colour!

Onwards, don't you just love stencils! Tailormade Decals did those and the nomenclatures for me.  :D

Cheers mate!   :D

More stencil fun

Add some colour.

Unwrap...

Checking the colours in daylight.

Something interesting there...

Not too shabby.

Amazing how few colours breath life into the airframe!

Looking pretty satisfied with the results.

Thanks!

No doubt Bill! We all have to start somewhere and having the right materials and tools sure helps ease the process!

Just say when Andy! Although this summer is a bit wet so maybe next year might be better.
See here for travel options > http://www.visiticeland.com/TravelGuide/

The stencils were just warmup for the water slide decals.

Solvent applied over the decals that softens then and makes them blend better with the background.

Then they looks something like this.

And after some clear coat has been applied they'll look even better!

And we see more life in the airframe!

Center section of the wing was the largest remaining unpainted section, so time to tackle that.

Fuselage got the last colours too.

Voila, I think the finish line migh be lurking on the horizon!  :)
