Cheers!

Lovely job. I've been building the 1/4 scale version for about 18 months now! Was going to use that colour scheme, but I'll need to rethink it now :?:

Why? You don't like it anymore!?   :D

Make sure you've got a good gun!

I've got a HVLP touch-up gun and a small compressor and that's about the sweetest thing I've got my hands on, not that I've got much experience in the matter, lol.

But as even I can use it, it must be good!

After having added a tow hook to my mates 36% Sbach we finaly got a chance to try it today and why not use the chance and test the Ka-3. What can possibly go wrong!? Well to answer that question nothing did!  :)

She is a sweet pussycat in the air and likes to stay up if there are thermals around. To say I'm a bit chuffed is an understatement, good job Fred!

Getting to the runway.

Ready to go.

Little bit of wing assistance for the maiden.

And up she went.

And release!

Freedom!

Brake, they work well, no noticeable trim change.

Sweet!

Landing...

Happy owner after the first few flights.

Thanks Andrew, we needed a something little bit more than Pinky for my new DG800!
It also saves me getting Pinky from A to B when towing my Ka8 mate (who owns the Sbach).

A beautifully finished model, a beautiful day! Many thanks for sharing with us!    :D
And I'm also glad that you like it!  :D

So now, the usual question everybody ask after the first successful landing of a glider... What's next!?  :D  :P

Cheers Fred!

Hmmm, finish the P-47, maiden the DG800 and probably build the Quark for next winter.
Then there is a gull wing fetish I might need to address, got any plans to help me with that?  :?:
