Morning Ralph! Had a good night last night did you all? Moss House B&B will be getting a reputation as a House of ill repute the way you guys behave there.

Well, if you’re all feeling a little tired after yesterdays excitement don’t rush to get out of bed this morning.

The mountain is completely covered in cloud at the moment, and the sky is overcast. The wind is 10 -16 Kmh from the North - North East. On the plus side there is no actual precipitation and, where I live, the ground is beginning to dry out.

I’ll probably be up on the slope around 12.00,……provided that cloud lifts. Let’s keep our fingers crossed!

Best day ever!
Thank you all for coming! Great flying conditions on the NE slope. Non stop flying, All sizes, and a few successful first flights made while we were at it :)

More later, a few drinks, and some weird stuff from Iceland ( but damn good!)

Oh yeah, Sverrir is now called Bob! :)

Yep, no shame anymore...  :P

Anyway, a quick post just to say we had another good day athe slope today, with thermal/slermal conditions, and an epic walk of shame for me, but a good fight! More on that later.

And once again, thank you all for coming

We'll see what is the plan for tomorrow.
One photo from yesterday, just to keep you waiting...

Been a great weekend so far, nice to meet you all. Fred has copies of my pictures so as he said he might post some. I'll post my stuff after I get home next month.

Well yesterday started out as one of those days that we (Tom and I) weren't expecting a whole lot. We figured we'd travel to Big L for the chat and the catch up not thinking the weather would play ball and allow us to fly..... as we arrived at the slope we couldn't see past the nine stones car park barrier... so our expectations were confirmed.....

The lads arrived up twenty minutes later and like as though they had arranged it, the humidity (not "cloud" as Fred explained) lifted, and we could see the beautiful valley rolled out in front of us....

Some experienced flyers took to the sky, with no wind to speak of. Tom and I said we'd have a go with his new baby skua wing.... well the Skua didn't play ball, that coupled with no wind and inexperience and we were packing it away.... until Ralph offered some advice..... well the next thirty minutes was a steep learning curve after which the skua took to the skies and we had a great time.... pretty much zero wind but she flew and both myself and Tom had a cracking day..... we learned the art of "starching" around for some lift and really enjoyed the few hours....

Tom the little jammy @&*% took ownership of another plane from JP's collection and was simply beside himself with it.... the BD5 has take pride of place in his bedroom.... and an order for a trany was duly requested for his birthday next month....

Massive, Massive thanks to Ralph, JP and Fred for the advice and help yesterday..... very much appreciated lads thank you from Tom and I.... Selleri.. good to meet you and shake the hand of a true gent.... thanks for coming all this way...

Hi All,

Just to let you know that we met Pauline, and left her a flower bouquet and a card on behalf of all of us.
She thanks everybody for the gesture.

Once again, Mt Leinster delivered again!
Great weather, immaculate blue sky, sun, wind, and a slope only for ourselves!

Another epic day at the slope!
At the pub now, Guinness is good for you indeed! :)

Some great shots taken by Sverrir to come soon!
