Sports / Re: So, I joined a club! SRFC
« on: February 05, 2025, 22:34:34 PM »
Alright so, I was quiet, but flying wise, I managed a few days with the guys last year, along a scale meeting organisés by the club.
More on that I guess as I was told last weekend they will organise another scale event in around August, and of course, gliders welcome 😃

First of the year was a very friendly competition (it’s a big word! Was really an excuse to get out flying with like minded people! More fun than competition) and to my surprise finished 3rd on the day. Brilliant to see the first 2 were 2 young lads! Good to see the new generation of RC pilots really invested in the hobby!

All in all, good start of the year at the SRFC, so here are a few photos of last year and this year. Might put more if there is some interest 👍

Hi all,

Sincere apologies for the silence the last couple of months. Family and stuff, needed a happy place and headspace. Found both :)

Anyway, Happy New Year to you all! A bit late, but it's still January so must still be legal :)

Anyway, did not stay at home doing nothing during all that time. I'll post a few photos and new adventures tomorrow as it is late now :)

Hi Filipe,

Apologies for the silence as I was dealing with some family emergency. Quiet down a bit now, so I’m back online 👍

Send me a message with your address etc, and I ship that to you.

Fred

Last few.

The club had a table full of bits and pieces with a honesty box for whatever you took. I believe they raise a bit more than 1000€ on the day for a worthy cause! Nice one guys, and a good idea!

A good attendance, great site, but we were all freezing on the day!!

Anyway, main thing was that we were outside amongst like minded people and friends :)

Another event I could not miss this year, with the SRFC Scale day.
Great turn out, great people and a fantastic weather!

Nice selection of models during the day, and I think everybody had fun! Burgers, chips, coffee and more provided throughout the day by the club  8) 8)

Anyway, you better be there for the next one or you'll miss a great day out! Here are a few photos of the day. Enjoy!

Last weekend, paid a visit to the Athlone fun fly.

Good selection of models and lots of people. Add a salt of very good weather, and you get a great event!

Welcome to the forum :)

Back from holidays, but if your Alpina use the blade type, I don't think it's a 4001.
The 4001 use the floating keys if I recall.

Anyway, I can take photos of my old one, correct, they do extend to the fuselage wing root, at an angle (dihedral).
I post photos in a bit
