And the other casualty that weekend was Richard with the deadstick landing and hitting the post with his Xcub.

All back and ready to fly again.

At our last towing event in Cork on the Monday, I had borrowed Brendan Shellys towplane to tow the stragglers (Fred) .

Unfortunately I had a misshap which ended up rekitting the fuselage abd a bit of the wing.

Steady work for the last few week have produced a repaired wing and a replacement fuse.

Lesson learned, never borrow a towplane.

Pictures to follow.

Started to cover the tail.

There is an unwritten rule! A Baron is transparent red!

The mini Baron is transparent yellow!

😁😁

Finishing the fuselage with prepping the landing gear, and then, the wings! 2 channels of course, like the original! 😃

There are some models that really define a hobby more than any other models.
In France, I think that would be the “Baron”, designed by Christian Chauzit who n the 70s I believe.

You could not go to a flying field without seeing dozen of them!  So popular, they had their own cup, the famous “Coupe des Barons” organisés all over France with hundreds of Barons for the best years, and they are still very popular today!

Anyway, I had to have another one, and 2 or 3 years ago, bought a kit ( not the original from Briot ☹️) but a re-kit by Aerokit-AMR in France.

Seeing the weather, that one finally ended up on the build table! Very excited about that one is an understatement! Brings me back years!

Here are a few photos.
