September fly in at the big L

Hello everyone :)

Finally managed to get a bit of time to put something together, but before anything else, a big thank you for all the pilots who attended the event!
Still not sure of the final numbers on the Saturday, but as Keith said, we were between 25 and 30 (10~12 on the Sunday)! Full car park, and up to 14 gliders in the air at the same time at one point!

What to say? From the Weasel fleet from the SFRC lads doing some combat! (Next time, I'll do myself a combat wing! Need to get in that melee!!    :D ) to fast mouldies from Pavel, Ed and the SFRC, TD gliders, Scale gliders, flying wings, home made machines from Justin etc etc, too many to count them all, but as usual, variety was the main word, and despite the number of people and flights, no incidents to report    :D
We are getting good at this flying thingy

Lots of people to catch up with on the day (sorry John, wish we discussed more! Hopefully next year!!), so myself , I only managed to get up the slope at around 4pm with my ASH!   Lots of flying still done anyway. We left at around 7pm  :D

I think everybody had a great week end! We also saw a few new faces, and that's always a good result to bring new people to this great hobby of throwing powerless machines from the top of a mountain!

Here is a link to a few photos. Sorry, I don't have much, but if you have some, please feel free to send them to me, and I'll update the gallery.

Bring on the 2015 season!  :D

Yep, like that, you can't say for another year that you were the last man standing!!
Second year in a row you go to bed before me :) And this year, pretty much before everybody else!

Anyway, more photos added to the gallery (many thanks    )

Quote from: "Happy Days"
Take my advise David and purchase what you want very quickly before the F.D. changes her mind and decides that she wants a new bathroom suit or some such.

Well this man's Financial Director contacted him to see how many sheets of foam board would be required to build a glider...

Looks like I might need to put in that order with hobbyking!

I'm sure much advice shall be sought to build one; like where to buy balsa in Ireland and how one would work it.

Bear in mind I have 10 left thumbs.
